When a Hollywood voice actor discovered the flavors of Turin with Chef Abram and Cecilia
When Mark Decarlo, the well-known Hollywood voice actor, comedian and television personality, arrived in Turin with his wife Yeni, they were curious to discover a side of Italy that many travelers still overlook.
Instead of following the usual tourist routes of Rome, Florence or Venice, they chose something different: an authentic culinary experience in Turin led by Michelin-trained Chef Abram and storyteller Cecilia, founders of I EAT Food Adventures.
What followed was not just a food tour, but a journey through Turin’s vibrant food landscape, historic cafés and hidden food traditions, tasting Piedmontese specialties, meeting passionate local artisans and discovering why Turin is quickly becoming one of Italy’s most exciting food destinations.
And like many guests before them, Mark and Yeni left the experience with the same feeling we hear so often:
“Why didn’t we come to Turin sooner?”. Plus: “We’ll be back for more… and for you guys”.

Turin is often described as Italy’s most underrated culinary capital.
While cities like Rome or Florence are well known internationally, Turin hides a gastronomic culture that is deeply rooted in history, aristocratic traditions and local terroir.
During the experience, Mark and Yeni joined us for one of our signature culinary adventures through the historic center.
Along the way we explored:
• traditional Piedmontese cheeses
• artisanal cured meats
• local street food specialties
• freshly baked focaccia and pizza
• regional wines such as Barbera and Nebbiolo & iconic dishes
• artisanal gelato and Turin chocolate creations like Gianduja

Meeting the Local Artisans of Turin
One of the highlights of the morning was meeting the passionate artisans and food vendors who keep Turin’s culinary traditions alive.
As a former Michelin-trained chef and former Head Chef at Farmacia Del Cambio, Chef Abram personally introduces guests to the people who shape the city’s food culture every day.
These encounters transform a simple tasting into something deeper.
Guests hear the stories behind recipes that have existed for generations and discover why Piedmont is considered one of the greatest gastronomic regions in the world.
For Mark, who has Italian origins, and for Yeni as well, this human connection was one of the most memorable parts of the experience.
