Food Connections. Meaningful Foodies Experiences Infused with Uniqueness – I EAT Food Tours and Events

Introduction

At the heart of every meaningful business lies a story, a connection that goes far beyond transactions. For us, Cecilia and Abram, founders of I EAT. Food Tours and Events in Turin, that story is about energy, emotions, and shared experiences. From the very beginning, we didn’t just aim to create tours: we poured love, passion, and purpose into experiences that resonate with like-minded people. This is where emotional marketing plays a pivotal role. But what truly brings this to life is the friendships we’ve made and the deep, heartfelt moments that we’ve shared with our guests.

In a world saturated with competition, emotional marketing shifts the focus from selling a product or service to creating deep, authentic connections. It’s about speaking to the heart, not just the mind. And for us, it’s the foundation of everything we do.

The Power of Emotional Marketing

At its core, emotional marketing seeks to form connections with customers through feelings. It isn’t about convincing people to buy. It’s about creating authentic, memorable experiences that people want to be part of. It’s about how you make someone feel before, during and after they interact with your business.

When you bring your whole heart and the essence of who you are into your work, it creates a ripple effect that touches the right people.

How does this apply to our business? When Abram and I started with I EAT Food Tours and Events six years ago, we didn’t set out with a “strategy” to attract people – we simply did what we love with sincerity and passion.

Our energy has become our guide, and it has led us to people who feel like friends from the moment we meet.

So we didn’t properly create food tours, we created meaningful experiences. Each tour is infused with what we genuinely love: local food, stories, traditions, and the joy of human connection. This isn’t about being performative or transactional,  it’s about being real and making others feel a part of something special.

Emotional marketing is also about alignment. When your energy is authentic, it resonates with those who share the same values. That’s where the magic happens—when your “vibe attracts your tribe.”

Our Energy: The Heartbeat of Our Food Tours

From the beginning, the energy we put into our business came from a place of love:

1. Love for Turin and its food culture
We truly are in love with the richness of Turin—the flavors, the traditions, the people, the unique vibes – and we wanted others to see the city through our eyes. This love translates into every single experience, making them intimate and heartfelt.

2. Passion for connection
We don’t see our guests as customers; we see them as part of our extended family. Sharing food is a universal language of connection, and our tours create spaces where people from all over the world come together, laugh, and bond.

3. Caring for the experience
Every detail matters—from selecting the perfect stops on our tours to ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for. This isn’t just a food tour; it’s a curated experience filled with genuine thought and intention.

4. Education with heart
Sharing the history of Turin’s food, the nuances of its culinary culture, and the stories behind each dish is our way of honoring tradition and passing it forward. But we don’t educate for the sake of teaching; we do it because it’s a joy to share what we love.

When you infuse your business with such emotions, it stops being a service and starts being a movement, one where the right people naturally arrive.

The Friendships That Shape Our Journey

One of the most precious gifts of 2024 and beyond.

One of the most beautiful aspects of running our food tours and custom events has been the beautiful and precious friendships we’ve formed with people from all over the world. What starts as strangers gathering for a food experience often turns into something far more meaningful.
Over the years, we’ve shared many moments that matter and witnessed countless special moments unfold on our experiences:
1. Life stories over a shared meal
There’s something powerful about sharing food that breaks down barriers. We’ve sat across from guests who opened up about their dreams, struggles, and joys. I remember one couple celebrating their 40th anniversary in Turin. As they tasted local chocolate, they shared stories of their journey together: laughter, tears, and everything in between. It was far from being a tour, it was a celebration of their love, and we were honored to be part of it.
2. Healing through connection
One afternoon, a couple of travelers joined us, quiet and reserved at first. As the tour progressed, the food and conversations brought them out of the shell. By the end of the day, they shared how this trip marked a new chapter in life after personal loss. They thanked us for creating a space where they felt connected and alive again. That day wasn’t just a food tour: it was a moment of healing for them, and for us, a reminder of why we do this.
3. Guests turned lifelong friends
Some of our most cherished friendships began with food tours. I could mention many significant times in which what started as casual chats about Turin’s rich culinary culture led to dinners, emails, and even visits to each other’s homes. We are blessed for some special people who have became part of our lives.
These are just a very few examples of precious moments that remind us, day after day, that we’re not just offering food tours. We’re offering connection, friendship, and memories that last far beyond a few hours.

When Energy Leds the Way: The Right People Find Us, and We Find Them

We believe that when you pour genuine energy into your work, it attracts the right people. The energy we share, love for food, for Turin, for human connection, has always been our compass.
And this energy resonates. People don’t come to us for just a food tour; they come because they can feel the intention behind what we do. They come because they’re searching for experiences with heart, and they leave not just with full bellies but full hearts.

Again, when you pour your love, passion, and care into your work, it creates a magnetic effect. The people who resonate with your energy are the ones who will come to you.

We’ve seen this happen time and again with our food tours. Our guests don’t come to us solely because they’re looking for “things to do in Turin.” They come because they’re looking for something deeper, an experience, a connection, a moment they’ll remember.

Many of them share our vibe:

-They value authenticity and genuine connection.

-They’re curious and open-minded, eager to learn and share.

They’re travelers, not just tourists, people seeking meaningful moments over superficial attractions.

These are “our people,” and we don’t chase them, they find us because our energy calls them. As the saying goes, your vibe attracts your tribe.

Why This Matters

In an era where consumers are increasingly discerning and values-driven, we aim to create loyal relationships that go beyond business. It’s not about flashy advertisements or hard selling: it’s about how you make people feel.

For us, this approach hasn’t just shaped our business: it’s created a community. Our guests return because they feel something special when they’re with us. They spread the word not because we ask them to but because they want others to experience that same energy and love.

Conclusion: Energy Is Everything

Our food tours are more than a business; they’re a reflection of who we are: people rooted In authenticity, who care deeply, love fully, and believe in the power of connection.
